Our Values

'Growing Strong Together'

At Kaitoke School, we nurture a values-based culture that supports the holistic development of our students. Our core values—Respect, Responsibility, and Resilience—shape everything we do. Kaitoke kids aim high by living these values every day.

Respect / Whakaute

We respect ourselves, our friends, our teachers, and the world around us. We care for the plants and animals in our school and community because they are important to us

Responsibility / Haepapa

We do what’s right, even when no one is watching. We look after our belongings, support others when they need help, and take action to protect the planet by reducing waste, recycling, and conserving resources.

Resilience / Manawaora

We keep trying, even when things get tough. Mistakes help us learn and grow. Just as we strengthen ourselves, we also work to protect and care for the Earth for future generations.

Meet Our Principal

Our passionate principal is committed to providing our tamariki with an educational journey that instills hope, success, joy, and a lifelong love of learning and the environment.

Explore Our Curriculum

Katioke Kura Stock Images-092.jpg

We have a strong localised curriculum based on the needs of our tamariki. Our approach is based on the principle of "ako," which recognises that learning is a reciprocal process that involves the learner, the teacher, and the wider community.

Discover Our Environment

Our tamariki enjoy wide open spaces and many additional resources for learning in different contexts, such as a kiln, art room, technology area, vegetable gardens, shade house, and a well-resourced library and an amazing paddock bordered with horses, sheep and cows.
